Demise of Pandora

Pandora has been blocked, i guess for legal reasons, from broadcasting to users outside the U.S.A, and unless someone knows a way to trick it, its game over until they offer it to Australia...maybe sometime in the future.

But that doesn´t matter because Last FM is still in action, and its better anyway. Use the similiar artists radio service at http://www.last.fm, see what Tim & Conor have been listening to this week at http://www.last.fm/user/TTones/ or what Nina & I are listening to athttp://www.last.fm/user/bodhiflip/. Good way of finding new music, and you can even listen to samples of each artist that you haven´t heard of before buying it or, more likely, downloading it with Soulseek.

Ban Billboards..

gets my vote...

Back in December, 2006, the mayor of the 11-million-person Brazilian city of Sao Paulo banned all outdoor billboard advertising, citing advertisers' unwillingness to comply with the city's rules on what sort of billboards can be placed where. Now the rule is in effect, and Flickr user Tony de Marco has documented the eerie sight..

Furry Lobster

Check out this cranking crustacean...

"Marine biologists have discovered a crustacean in the South Pacific that resembles a lobster or crab covered in what looks like silky fur."

Mexico Downtime

Our camera broke two weeks ago, so nothing to do but wait for it to be repaired (not under warranty the bastards), do some touristy shit, and drink beer. The roof of Sam Barrera's Aunty's apartment is a good spot for some 'technology failure cheer up beers'.

The Teotihuacan pyrmaids are a few hours out of the city. Lots of annoying tourists, unfortunately... Obviously Americans are the worst, followed by the French (who are possibly French canadian). Australians are okay though...

The Aztec canals at Xochimilco are about the best place i can think of for a party. Old women rowing up to you to sell you a bucket of beer, bands rowing up to offer you songs, and just when you've had enough beers to be a little peckish, people paddling their way towards you with various snacks, roast maize and more beer.

Anyway, the camera should be fixed by friday for $300 US, so we can start filming again...
Adios amigos.
