Pete's adventures in Melbourne

Hi my name is Pete, and i rock!

recently i went to Melbourne and had fun with my friends. We did lots of things and had a real crack!

then my girlfriend was roolly nice, and bought me a big thing. I think she's sick, and very, very awes!

In the afternoon i did matrices and other equations it is like soduko but more fun and for smarter people.

then i went out and found the house that i want to buy when i grow up. It is not that big and maybe i want a bigger one but it is big enough for me early in my career.

i also want a tripod. when i am older and have more money i will buy a roolly big one.

How to download videos from google, youtube...

When people send you links to videos on the web, you may have noticed there is usually no option for saving the video onto your hard disk. This site makes it easy, and for those using Firefox as a browser you've got it even easier with this Firefox extension.

To view the videos after you have downloaded them, you just need an .FLV player

Yr own personal radio station.

This is possibly the coolest thing i've ever found on the net. (note: requires ADSL to be of any use).
Go to

http://www.pandora.com/

Tell the site what an artist you like. It will then create a radio station (which plays from inside yr browser) that plays music similiar to yr choice, as well as that artist. You can also add more artists that you like, to give pandora a greater range of similiar artists to select from. Muel, I haven't tried this with heavy metal, but I bet it works. Once you've got yr radio station cranking, you can even email it to friends. So sweet... specially when you get sick of your own MP3 collection..

Photomosaic Fun

Have fun "zooming forever" with this continuous photomosaic.

last.fm

last.fm publishes charts from the mp3's played on your computer. Install the audioscrobbler plugin and set up a login on last.fm and you have your own music charts. You can even make groups and look at the combined charts.

edit: I forgot to mention that you can use this to make your own streaming radio station... ;)

The Muel

Reading these 21st speeches has brought to mind the hilarity of the Muel. Of the many humorous stories involving Muel, the time he blew up his hand, the time he got nicotine poisoning and the severe chafing causing unfortunately placed blood stains remain among my favourites.
At Muel's 21st, Nina and I were so busy during the speeches trying to pick out an opportune time to yell out 'CAPITAL GROWL' that we didn't really pay attention. So, if anyone has a copy of Muel's 21st speeches that they could post I would love to read them.
